I vote for the abolishment of NYSC

This NYSC is just meaningless. Modern Slavery and bondage for 1year.What impact do we take home that makes this service worth serving? Really nothing.

Someone will travel from East to West or North in more than 24hrs journey with not less than 10k money on transportation to be given 2.5k transport allowance. After camp, you will spend same amount going back to prepare for the long stay. After service there is no even transport fee going back home.

That's not to mention many who spent night on hotels during travel and before getting apartment after camping.

Right inside camp, you will pay countless dues and fees for platoon competition etc from your pocket. After camping all the official will enter there car and leave you behind at the mercy of good or bad citizens of the state who neither hear your native language or English

Some will pay for house, at the CDs, you will pay registration and dues for project still inside 19800. You will compulsory pay for journal you don't want for like 1k. While banks will deduct up to 1k per month on bank maintenance and charges. You will pay transport to PPA and Cds week plus going to Secretariat for clearance still inside this peanut allowance

At the end one cannot make any saving when properly take care of yourself, instead you will still depend on your parents or guidance for patch up of your necessities.

One cannot travel within the service year, if you happen to miss clearance under unforseen circumstances, be it genuine reason or not, you will be denied your monthly allowance. No freedom at all.

If they tell you how much they use in making each persons kit, more than 10k each. You would try given them Bible/Koran to swear. Yet you will end up using like 1k or more to shape the undersized or oversized kaki.

Jobless we came and jobless we go at the end of the service. Whats the point there? We could have go in search of means of livelihood than waste this whole time. Very few will learn handwork in this period without payment because this is Nigeria, doesn't give shit to your kaki. You must pay

Npower is more preferable because you serve in your state of choice and LGA, at the comfort of your home and family with even a better improved allowance and facilities.

Each year after camping death of corp members are recorded and I begin to ask if it is a yearly sacrifice of human lives to the nation?

Social live and cultural differences and religion is another challenge in some places.

At the end of all this service year, what do one take home with, Just the certificate with transport and hardship experience gained, nothing else. They aren't given you any job or something related to it. Just to go back and begin something we would have done earlier.

Please I beg you people to look into this NYSC and amend many things for good or better scrap it off. Take a vote or question about the relevance of this nysc, you will find out that its relevance has long been forfeited.

Already I know those politician and officials who are benefitting from it at the expense of innocent corpers will not resent to this

Most of the lawmakers that makes this certificate valid in Nigeria do not even have this certificate themselves.

Why would I even serve if not to stand a chance of being employed by government establishments. Otherwise no one will

Common to announce POP date, its taking heaven to do that. Most of this official are native of the state they are serving except for the big horns. You would go the festival period break and leave behind innocent corp members.

Let me reserve my curses because I am offended in many ways because of NYSC.

In conclusion my point it, if you can't improve this NYSC scheme to meet the challenge of serving corp member in this dispensation of time, scrap it off. It is better to join Npower in a less stressful service to the nation.

I vote for the abolishment of NYSC.
